Audi has announced a major expansion and radical overhaul of its Audi e-tron GT lineup for 2024. The updated range includes the confirmed Audi RS e-tron GT, which now boasts a power increase of 210 HP compared to its previous iteration. Joining this powerhouse are the new Audi S e-tron GT and the Audi RS e-tron GT performance variants.

The latter, Audi Sport’s first fully electric RS performance model, is the most powerful production car Audi has ever made, delivering a staggering 925 HP from its electric powertrain.

Audi e-tron GT 2024: Design and Sportiness

The Audi S e-tron GT embodies sporty elegance. A black frame extends to the base of the light clusters, surrounding the three-dimensional single frame and connecting to redesigned side air intakes. A vehicle-colored strip between the single frame and the hood emphasizes the Gran Turismo’s ground-hugging stance. At the rear, a vertically ribbed diffuser with a body-colored upper profile adds to its dynamic appearance.

The Audi RS e-tron GT takes sportiness to another level with a 3D honeycomb interior section of the single frame and L-shaped inserts in the side air intakes, accentuating its muscular look. The rear features a motorsport-inspired diffuser with a central red reflector, echoing the front’s L-shaped inserts.

Topping the range, the Audi RS e-tron GT performance stands out with unique design elements such as a matte carbon roof and exclusive carbon camouflage details on the air intakes, doors, diffuser, and mirror caps.

The entire range features Audi’s new corporate identity, with a two-dimensional design for the four rings: white for the Audi S e-tron GT and anthracite gray for the RS variants. New colors include metallic Bedford Green for the Audi RS e-tron GT performance and metallic Nuvola Gray for both RS variants.

The wheel options have been expanded with new 20- and 21-inch designs, including the 21-inch forged wheels with six double spokes for the Audi RS e-tron GT performance, inspired by the “Avus Wheel” from 1991.

Interior Upgrades

The interior redesign for the 2024 Audi e-tron GT range includes new seats, steering wheel, dashboard, and digital features. The welcome light projects the classic Audi Sport red diamond onto the ground. Interior options now include new inserts such as matte carbon camouflage for the Audi RS e-tron GT performance and Vanadium finish for both RS variants.

The standard steering wheel across the range features a flat-bottomed design with a red 12 o’clock marker inspired by motorsport. The RS variants add two additional control satellites for dynamic driving management. Sport plus seats, now with illuminated logos, are available with orange contrast stitching.

Sustainable materials are used throughout the interior, including Cascade fabric and Dinamica microfiber, partially made from recycled PET bottles. Cascade fabric, undyed, consists of 15% selvedge and 35% recycled polyester. The floor mats are made from Econyl, a fiber sourced from used fishing nets and carpet scraps.

The Audi virtual cockpit plus now provides real-time information on battery temperature, charging power, and accumulator preconditioning. The RS variants include specific layouts, with a white background main screen for the Audi RS e-tron GT performance, paying homage to the 1994 Audi RS 2 Avant.

Performance

The new Audi e-tron GT range uses permanent magnet synchronous motors (PSM). The Audi S e-tron GT achieves a maximum output of 680 horsepower and 740 Nm of torque. The Audi RS e-tron GT delivers 856 HP and 865 Nm, while the RS e-tron GT performance reaches 925 horsepower and 1,027 Nm. Performance is exceptional: the Audi S e-tron GT accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.4 seconds, the Audi RS e-tron GT in 2.8 seconds, and the Audi RS e-tron GT performance in just 2.5 seconds.

The battery for the new range weighs 625 kg and has a capacity of 105 kWh (97 kWh net), offering a maximum range of 609 km WLTP for the Audi S e-tron GT and 597 km WLTP for the Audi RS e-tron GT. DC fast charging power reaches 320 kW, allowing the battery to go from 10% to 80% charge in 18 minutes and restoring 280 km of range in just 10 minutes.
