The Jeep Compass is about to undergo a generational overhaul. Production of the new Jeep Compass will begin in 2025 at the Melfi plant in Italy, where it will be built on the STLA Medium architecture, a platform shared with models like the Peugeot e-3008, e-5008, and future offerings from DS, Fiat and Opel.

Designed for optimized electric systems, the STLA Medium is a multi-energy platform, meaning it will support both electric and hybrid versions.

Electric and Hybrid Options for the 2025 Jeep Compass

The new Jeep Compass will come in both electric and hybrid variants, continuing the brand’s tradition of offering all-wheel drive. It’s highly likely that the electrified versions will include configurations similar to the mild-hybrid system seen on the Jeep Avenger 4xe, and there may also be a plug-in hybrid version.

Expected design and dimensions

In terms of design, the 2025 Compass will build on the well-balanced lines of the current generation, with several key updates. The model is expected to grow in size, stretching from its current 4.40 meters to possibly 4.50 meters, thanks to an extended wheelbase that could increase by up to 10 centimeters. This larger footprint will enhance interior space, improving overall comfort and practicality.

The design sketch suggests that the new Compass will have a sleeker profile, particularly toward the rear. The roofline tapers toward the back, visually slimming the third side window area between the C and D pillars. The beltline is sharply defined, connecting the front end to the rear lights, while the front headlights will feature a design similar to that of the Jeep Avenger. At the rear, the current Compass model serves as the inspiration for the tail light design.

A global model

The 2025 Jeep Compass is poised to be a global model. After its launch in Europe next year, it will be introduced to North American and other international markets starting in 2026.
