The new Skoda Kodiaq RS is an intriguing addition in an era dominated by electrification and sustainability. Nevertheless, the new Kodiaq RS makes sense for those seeking a sporty SUV with room for the entire family.

This is Skoda’s updated version of their popular 7-seater performance model.

Skoda Kodiaq RS: now with 265 hp!

Škoda has carved out a unique niche with the Kodiaq RS, which was introduced a few years ago with a 240 hp diesel engine. After a facelift, the diesel engine was replaced by a 2.0-liter turbo petrol engine with the same output. The latest version, based on the all-new Kodiaq platform, still comes with a 2.0-liter turbo petrol engine – but now with 265 hp and 400 Nm. Paired with a 7-speed DSG automatic transmission, the Kodiaq RS now achieves an impressive 0-100 km/h in just 6.3 seconds and reaches a top speed of 231 km/h, making it Skoda’s fastest SUV to date.

In terms of design, the new Kodiaq RS has received a few upgrades that subtly emphasize its sporty character. RS logos appear throughout, large 20” Elias alloy wheels add an edge, and the dual chrome exhaust pipes lend a powerful look. Inside, the cabin immediately reveals its sporty transformation: sports seats with red stitching and an overarching red theme create a dynamic atmosphere.

Škoda has also enhanced the car’s technical specifications to ensure an even better driving experience. The Kodiaq RS has a sports driving mode where the speakers amplify the engine sound, creating a more authentic sports feel. Adaptive suspension with no less than 15 adjustment settings comes standard on this model, and inside, you can choose between a 10” or 13” touchscreen, both of which deliver a modern and intuitive user experience.

Danish pricing for the new Kodiaq RS is not yet known, but it’s expected to fall at the higher end of the scale. This likely means the Kodiaq RS will be a rare but impressive sight on Scandinavian roads.
