At CES in Las Vegas, there’s no shortage of innovations. In a post on its LinkedIn page, Zeekr announced that on January 7th, it will unveil its Autonomous Charging Robot, an AI-driven automated charging station designed to make the charging experience more premium.
Not many details have been revealed yet, but they will be disclosed at the Zeekr Technology Forum, the Geely brand’s booth at the world’s most important tech fair.
The Zeekr Autonomous Charging Robot
Although we don’t know much yet, Zeekr’s concept is likely similar to the one presented by Hyundai in 2023.
The device is expected to identify the car, automatically insert the charging plug into the vehicle’s socket (even opening it when not automated), and start charging without requiring anyone to step out of the car.
This is made possible by AI and the Plug&Charge technology integrated into Zeekr vehicles—a software feature that enables charging to start without the need for cards or apps.
Further details will be revealed on January 7th.
