At an international event in Milan, the Chinese manufacturer launched the new Oppo Reno 13 Series in Europe, the latest generation of its mid-range lineup, which includes the Reno 13 5G, Reno 13 Pro 5G, and Reno 13 F 5G.
All models feature advanced AI capabilities and high-level performance, catering to an increasingly wide audience.
Elegant and durable
The Oppo Reno 13 Series stands out for its refined yet durable design, with IP66, IP68, and IP69 certifications ensuring protection against water and dust even in extreme conditions.
Oppo collaborated with Italian designer Davide Vavalà to create two exclusive covers: “Chromatic Dreams,” inspired by the lightness of butterflies, and “Metamorphosis,” capturing their harmonious movement, further emphasized by the iridescent effect of these color options.
The materials used provide excellent durability: the aerospace-grade aluminum frame enhances tensile strength by 200% compared to a plastic frame, offering better impact protection. The dimensions and weight are optimized for a comfortable user experience, with the Reno 13 Pro 5G weighing only 195g and the Reno 13 5G at 181g.
Photography focus
AI plays a key role in the Oppo Reno 13 Series, particularly in photography. Notable features include:
- AI Livephoto: Captures ultra-sharp images and smooth videos with EIS stabilization.
- AI Editor: Includes advanced image enhancement tools such as AI Clarity Enhancer, AI Unblur, and AI Reflection Remover.
- AI Motion: Converts static images into three-second videos with near-2K quality.
- Tap-to-Share: A new feature allowing direct sharing of Livephotos with iOS devices and social platforms like TikTok and Instagram.
On the hardware side, the Reno 13 Pro 5G boasts a 50MP Ultra-Clear main camera (Sony IMX890), a 50MP telephoto lens with 3.5x optical zoom, an 8MP ultra-wide camera, and a 50MP selfie camera. Video recording supports resolutions up to 4K Ultra Clear, delivering video quality close to flagship models.
Additionally, in combination with its IP66, IP68, and IP69-certified water resistance, the Reno 13 Series introduces underwater photography without a case, featuring a dedicated mode that adjusts colors for realistic shots. An advanced water-draining mechanism expels water in seconds, ensuring optimal performance even after submersion.
Gaming performance
Powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8300 processor, built on 4nm technology, the Reno 13 Pro 5G and Reno 13 5G offer a 20% performance boost and 30% lower power consumption. The AI Multi-Cooling system and enhanced Vapor Chamber maintain stable temperatures even during intense gaming sessions.
The AI HyperBoost optimizes resources to ensure stable frame rates, while AI LinkBoost 2.0, with eleven strategically placed antennas, enhances connectivity even in crowded environments.
Availability in Scandinavia
Oppo is not officially distributed in Denmar, Sweden and Norway. Prices in the other European countries start from 379,99 € (2834 DKK).
