Alpine Alpenglow Hy4 prototype debuted on the Spa-Francorchamps circuit.
The Alpine Alpenglow Hy4 represents the evolution of the Alpine Alpenglow concept car, first unveiled at the Paris Motor Show in 2022. Equipped with a four-cylinder engine that heralds the introduction of an innovative hydrogen-powered V6 engine, the Hy4 demonstrates how eco-friendly technology can coexist with high performance and sportiness.
Alpine Alpenglow Hy4, design and features
The design of the Hy4, with its streamlined body and racing car interiors, reflects the possible future of hypercars, directly connecting the world of racing with that of production vehicles.
With a two-seater cockpit, a true racing wheel, and new rims that convey a sense of speed.
In addition to Spa-Francorchamps, the prototype will also feature prominently at the prestigious 24 Hours of Le Mans on June 14 and 15, 2024, where it will once again demonstrate the capabilities of the hydrogen engine.
The Hy4 not only promises to maintain the characteristic roar of racing cars but also to significantly reduce carbon emissions, thus addressing the challenges posed by future environmental regulations.
The Alpine Alpenglow Hy4 is not just a concept car or a prototype; it is a dynamic laboratory and a racing car with a carbon monocoque chassis and a turbocharged 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine capable of delivering 340 horsepower.
