Maserati will be present at CES 2025 in Las Vegas, the world’s largest technology exhibition from January 7 to 10, with an autonomous version of the Maserati MC20 Cielo.
Partnering with renowned institutions such as the Politecnico di Milano, the Italian National Automotive Industry Supply Chain Association (ANFIA), and premium audio brand Sonus faber, Maserati aims to highlight its cutting-edge advancements in autonomous driving and in-car audio systems.
The MC20 which drives itself
One of the highlights at the Maserati showcase will be the MC20 Cielo equipped with autonomous driving technology.
This collaboration with the Politecnico di Milano is part of the AIDA (Artificial Intelligence for Autonomous Driving) project. Spearheaded by the Politecnico di Milano and the National Center for Sustainable Mobility (MOST), AIDA focuses on the testing and validation of autonomous driving systems on public roads. The project seeks to develop reliable, safe, and efficient technology capable of operating under real-world conditions.
Maserati’s partnership with the Politecnico di Milano is not new. Previously, the two collaborated on an MC20 Coupé driven by an AI-powered robo-driver, which achieved a record-breaking speed of 285 km/h in dense fog conditions at the Piacenza-San Damiano airport on November 7.
At CES 2025, the second model resulting from this collaboration will serve as the official safety car for the Autonomous Challenge, scheduled for Thursday, January 9, at the Las Vegas Speedway. Following the challenge, the vehicle will take center stage at the booth shared by the Italian Trade Agency, ANFIA, and the Italian Association of Automotive Equipment Manufacturers (AICA) at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
Improved Car Audio
Maserati’s collaboration with Sonus faber will also be a focal point at CES 2025. Visitors can experience dynamic test drives in Maserati’s Grecale, Grecale Trofeo, and Grecale Folgore models, showcasing the exceptional capabilities of the Sonus faber High Premium audio system. While the Grecale SUV comes standard with a 14-speaker Sonus faber Premium audio system, the High Premium upgrade—available as an option—features 21 independent speakers. This advanced system delivers a seamless frequency response and a richly detailed soundstage.
The Sonus faber High Premium audio system has earned accolades from the EISA Committee, being named the best in-car audio system in both 2022 and 2023. These test drives at CES will demonstrate how Sonus faber and Maserati are redefining the in-car audio experience.
