BYD has an exciting announcement for the Danish and European market next year: the BYD Sealion 7 electric SUV.
Dubbed BYD’s “seventh wonder,” this model will compete directly with the Tesla Model Y and Xpeng G6. Compared to BYD’s SEAL U in the same segment, the SEALION 7 is both longer (4,830 mm) and wider (1,925 mm). This expansion is driven by the fact that the Sealion 7 will be the first BYD model in Europe built on the updated e-Platform 3.0.

While details about the European version remain limited, we know that the Sealion 7 will be available with two battery options: 82.5 kWh and 91.3 kWh, providing a range of up to 502 km.
The car is expected to deliver up to 530 hp and will come with all-wheel drive, similar to the Chinese Seal 3.8. However, it won’t be quite as fast, with the Sealion 7’s fastest version accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.5 seconds and reaching a top speed of 215 km/h.
The Sealion 7 made its debut at this year’s Paris Motor Show and will later be showcased at the Ecar Expo in Copenhagen, at the end of october.
