Here are the highlights that impressed us the most.
Our favourites from eCar Expo Copenhagen 2024
Audi A6 Avant e-tron
At the Paris show, we saw the Sportback, while in Copenhagen, it was the turn of the Avant, Audi’s electric wagon offering. Equipped with an 800-volt system, the Avant inherits all the features of its sibling models, with a range of up to 720 km on the WLTP cycle.
The model displayed in Copenhagen was the S6 Avant e-tron, the high-performance version.
BYD e-Vali
LCVs had their moment too, especially with BYD’s first LCV for Europe, the BYD E-Vali. The Chinese giant, second only to Tesla in global sales, also brought the Sealion 7, unveiled in Paris.
However, the E-Vali is an absolute newcomer, marking BYD’s ambition to establish itself in this segment. For now, it has limited advantages: although large and customizable, its 250 km range falls short compared to competitors like the Fiat e-Ducato or the new Renault Master E-Tech.
Mercedes Vision One-Eleven
Mercedes unveiled the Vision One-Eleven, a futuristic concept inspired by the iconic C 111 of the 1970s. This model embodies Mercedes’ approach to the future of mobility, combining bold design with cutting-edge technology.
The Vision One-Eleven features innovative solutions, from eco-friendly materials to integrated artificial intelligence, representing the concept of a luxury electric vehicle that goes beyond mere transportation.
Rivian R1S/R1T
This was Rivian’s European debut, the American electric car startup known as a Tesla rival (though with less impressive sales, prompting Volkswagen’s support).
The R1S is a large 7-seater SUV, while the R1T is its 5-seater pickup version—massive, with an extra-deep front frunk, vegan leather interiors, and certified wood trim. Both models are available with two, three, or four motors, delivering an incredible 1,025 hp.
Skoda Elroq
Also present in Paris, the Skoda Elroq is the Czech brand’s second zero-emission model. With a range of up to 563 km and a maximum power of 286 hp, the Elroq is positioned as a versatile and reliable solution for those seeking an affordable electric SUV.
Its modern design and spacious, practical interiors make it ideal for families wanting to switch to electric mobility without sacrificing comfort or opting for a larger SUV like the Enyaq.
Xpeng P7+
Chinese automaker Xpeng’s new flagship, the P7+, stands out for its fastback design and advanced artificial intelligence integration.
This sporty sedan not only offers high performance but is also fully equipped with an intelligent system enabling autonomous driving and voice assistance, capable of learning from the driver’s habits.
