After the electric 500, the Fiat Grande Panda Kartell renews the partnership between Lingotto and the renowned Italian company, continuing Fiat’s tradition of creating special editions of its vehicles.
The Grande Panda Kartell will be unveiled at the Salone del Mobile from April 8 to 13, 2025. The synergy between Fiat and Kartell is not new: it dates back to the 1950s, when Kartell designed the ski rack for the original Fiat 500.
Fiat Grande Panda Kartell and the “home segment”
The Grande Panda marks Fiat’s return to the B-segment, which the brand left behind in 2018 with the end of Grande Punto production. The Fiat Grande Panda Kartell offers a fresh reinterpretation of both the segment and the model itself, blending the design-oriented nature of the car with sustainability and simplicity.
The Fiat Grande Panda Kartell stands out thanks to its vibrant red livery—an expressive color that conveys energy, passion, and embodies Kartell’s visual identity. In contrast, the Tasmania Blue interior adds a pop effect, enhanced by an obsessive attention to detail. The Kartell logo appears prominently on the wheels, rear section, and third pillar, while the interior features the “kk” monogram, thermo-embossed on Pop mélange canvas upholstery.
The cabin also includes a special surprise for the most attentive guests: a miniature version of Kartell’s iconic lamp, embedded in the dashboard. This small design element celebrates material transparency while adding a playful and ironic touch.
The project also stands as a tangible example of sustainable cross-contamination between the automotive and design worlds. Among the innovations under development is the use of Polycarbonate 2.0—a transparent, lightweight, and durable material derived from renewable sources and already featured in some of Kartell’s most iconic collections.
That’s not all: another step toward circular economy is represented by the potential use of the “tex to tex” process. Through this technology, textile scraps from the Foliage armchair are regenerated into a new yarn made of 60% recycled polyester, used for the seat upholstery. It’s a concrete way of turning waste into valuable resources, reducing environmental impact while creating high-quality materials.
