Forza Horizon 5 receives perhaps one of the richest and most interesting updates since its debut, with Modern Horizons introducing several new cars to the Mexican chapter, some of the most intriguing of the decade.
All sports cars, many of them are electric, with one juicy new addition: the Hyundai Ioniq 5 N, arriving alongside the 2023 Kia EV6 GT and the 2023 Porsche Taycan Cross Turismo Turbo S, the second in the Taycan family to appear in the game.
But there are also piston-powered novelties, such as the 2021 Toyota GR Yaris and the brand-new 2024 Ford Mustang Dark Horse, ready to race through Mexico thanks to the new EventLab elements.
All the New Reward Cars in the Festival
As seen, there are several new reward cars. Starting with the 2024 Ford Mustang Dark Horse, available in the first week of the Summer season from June 20 to 27 and obtainable with 20 points. The car is equipped with a 5.0-liter V8 Coyote engine with 500 HP, a 6-speed manual transmission, and rear-wheel drive, representing the ultimate muscle car experience.
In the second week of the Autumn season, from June 27 to July 4, you can obtain the Hyundai Ioniq 5 N with 20 points. This super electric car from the Korean brand boasts up to 650 HP and can reach 100 km/h in less than 4 seconds.
In the third week, Winter season (July 4-11), with 20 points you can get the 2021 Toyota GR Yaris, with its 2.1-liter engine delivering 257 HP and all-wheel drive.
In the fourth week, Spring season from July 11 to 15, with 20 points you can obtain the 2023 Porsche Taycan Cross Turismo Turbo S, featuring two electric motors for 750 HP and 0-100 km/h in 2.4 seconds.
Finally, the Kia EV6 GT, obtainable as a series reward with 80 points. This electric crossover with all-wheel drive and 576 HP can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.2 seconds, offering both comfort and racing performance, and an interesting drift mode.
The Universal Icons Car Pack
In addition to these cars, thanks to an agreement between Microsoft and Universal Pictures, the Universal Icons Car Pack is arriving.
The pack, available from June 20, 2024, includes some iconic vehicles like K.I.T.T. from Knight Rider, the 1992 Jeep Wrangler Sahara from Jurassic Park, and all three versions of the DeLorean from Back to the Future.
EventLab Updates
Forza Horizon also updates the EventLab mode, which allows the creation of circuits and tracks with 17 new elements.
These include highway pillars, short curves, junctions, and more, with snapping functionality for easier construction.
