God jul! Hyundai cuts Ioniq 5 prices by 35,000 DKK in Denmark

Hyundai has delivered an early julegave (Christmas gift) for customers in Denmark considering the facelifted Hyundai Ioniq 5, introduced in September. The automaker has reduced the price of all variants by 35,000 DKK, making the base model available at an attractive starting price of 289,995 DKK.

Technical improvements in the facelift

The updated Ioniq 5 comes with a range of enhancements. Notable upgrades include:

• Matrix LED headlights for improved nighttime visibility.
• A new and more advanced screen.
• Support for over-the-air (OTA) updates, allowing for software enhancements without visiting a dealership.
• Upgraded battery capacities for both the Standard Range and Long Range variants.
• The Standard Range model now boasts a 63 kWh battery (up from 58 kWh), delivering an impressive range of up to 440 km—an increase from the previous 384 km.
• The Long Range version sees its battery capacity grow from 77.4 kWh to 84 kWh, extending its range to 570 km, an improvement of 63 km over the outgoing model.

The Ioniq 5 remains a standout in the EV market, retaining its 800-volt charging technology, which was groundbreaking at its launch. This feature enables ultra-fast charging from 10% to 80% in 18 minutes, provided the car is connected to a suitable fast charger.

Although the Ioniq 5 may not seem overly large at first glance, its 3-meter wheelbase offers ample interior space, making it a practical choice for families or those seeking comfort on long journeys.
