Clever has struck a significant deal with Ionity, one of Europe’s leading fast-charging networks, granting Clever One customers access to 3,800 ultra-fast charging points across nine European countries — all at a fixed price of 3.75 DKK per kilowatt-hour.

Even better, in Denmark, Clever One users can charge on Ionity’s local network at no additional cost.

One App, One Solution with free access in Denmark for Ionity and Clever

The new partnership means that Clever One users can now hit the highways of Europe without the need for extra apps, confusing pricing structures, or additional subscriptions. Whether heading off for a summer road trip in Italy or a skiing holiday in Norway, drivers need only a single app or charging key to power up seamlessly.

At home, Clever One customers will also benefit from complimentary access to Ionity’s 102 ultra-fast chargers in Denmark. These are strategically placed along major highways and key locations such as the Storebælt and Lillebælt bridges, as well as near Billund.

Strong coverage across key destinations

The nine countries included so far in the agreement are among the top travel destinations for Danes: Germany, France, Norway, Sweden, and Italy, among others. Clever has also indicated that more countries could be added in the future, depending on customer demand.

To find and use the new charging stations, customers can simply activate the “Other charging points” feature in the Clever app and select Ionity. All European charging sessions are billed through the usual Clever invoice in Danish kroner.

Even those with usage-based Clever products — like Clever Box or Clever Go — can access Ionity chargers. However, these users will pay slightly higher rates: 4.99 DKK/kWh in Denmark and 5.49 DKK/kWh across the nine European countries.
