Presented as the Lambretta Elettra, it makes its debut in a preview at Eicma 2023, marking the electirc return of the famous Italian motorcycle.
It stands out for the style and typical shapes of the brand, for the first time combined with high-performance electric propulsion, joining the renewed Lambretta range presented last year. Everyone can get to know it at the Milan fair, Hall 11, Stand I34, from November 9 to 12, 2023. Here is all the information on how to reach the Milan fair.
Design and Performance of the Lambretta Elettra
The Lambretta Elettra has sharp and decisive lines at the front, which harmoniously connect with the rounded and soft rear volumes, paying homage to the Lambrettas of the 1950s. The goal is an “aesthetic dialogue” between the past and the future, with the sinuous and minimalist profile of the saddle at the center to honor tradition while aiming for innovation.
The frame and chassis of the Lambretta are traditional, with 12-inch wheels and the typical front suspension with a double shock absorber. The rear suspension, on the other hand, is new, redesigned with a horizontal shock absorber unit positioned above the motor and connected to the aluminum swingarm, following a unique approach.
Innovative is the handlebar, almost a unique feature for a classic scooter, which hides the concealed brake lever operation. The Lambretta Elettra is a modern scooter and, as such, integrates digital instrumentation to improve communication and interaction with the rider, all while being an integrated design element with the unique hook-shaped front headlight.
Furthermore, the rear shell rises at the touch of a remote control to provide access to the compartment housing the battery, without sacrificing helmet and storage space, which is still a rare choice for this type of vehicle.
The performance is very interesting: it reaches a maximum speed of 110 km/h, with continuous and peak power of 4 and 11 kW respectively, and a torque of 258 N/m. This is thanks to the permanent magnet synchronous motor, which ensures both high torque and efficiency while maintaining an excellent power-to-weight ratio. There are three driving modes: Eco, Ride, and Sport. With these, the Lambretta Elettra guarantees a range between 60 km at a constant speed of 80 km/h and 127 km in Eco mode at a constant speed of 40 km/h.
There is also support for fast charging: 36 minutes to recover 80% at a public charging station, while at home with a 220 V socket, it takes 5 hours and 30 minutes to recharge the 4.6 kWh battery.
