Fresh off the assembly line, the Lynk & Co 07 stands tall as the epitome of luxury sedans from the Chinese-Swedish brand. However, for the time being, it’s exclusively available in the Chinese market—a considerable drawback considering the car’s undeniable allure. Yet, with the brand’s new direction, there’s a glimmer of hope that this might change in the near future.

Designed in Gothenburg, this sleek sedan boasts a plug-in hybrid propulsion system, delivering up to 592 horsepower, alongside its modern, clean lines and a host of new technological advancements. One could argue that the 07 is the low-riding counterpart of its SUV sibling, the 08, albeit significantly more refined.

The New Design of the Lynk & Co 07

Measuring a stately 4.8 meters in length with a wheelbase of 2.8 meters, the Lynk & Co 07 ensures ample space for all occupants.

Drawing inspiration from the concept car The Next Day, the 07 refines its design, especially evident in its front LED headlights shaped like “H” or more angular claws. At the rear, the full-width and slim taillights blend seamlessly with the car’s short rear end.

The presence of black side pillars, roof, and mirrors lends the side profile a sporty demeanor, complemented by its rather aggressive wheels.

Much like its predecessor, the 08, the 07 features concealed door handles to enhance aerodynamics, while a black spoiler adds to its sporty appeal.

Interior Features

Stepping inside, you’re greeted by a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 15.4-inch central control screen, boasting thin bezels and a 2.5K resolution to seamlessly integrate the Lynk Flyme Auto Meizu HMI system.

The steering wheel sports a two-tone design with a metallic centerpiece, while the center console houses a wireless charging pad for two mobile phones and cup holders.

Up to 592 Horsepower

Under the hood, the Lynk & Co 07 houses a BHE15-BFZ turbocharged inline-four-cylinder engine capable of producing up to 163 horsepower. While details regarding the electric motor options remain undisclosed, they’re likely to mirror those of the 08.

This translates to two variants: one with a total system power of 380 horsepower and the other with a staggering 592 horsepower. The less potent version features a 217-horsepower electric motor on the front axle, generating a maximum torque of 350 Nm, while the total torque reaches 615 Nm.

For the Performance version, an additional 212-horsepower electric motor is added to the rear axle, providing an extra 290 Nm of torque, totaling a whopping 905 Nm for the entire system.

Despite its impressive power, the Lynk & Co 07 offers a commendable range of 1,400 kilometers under the CLTC testing cycle, with an all-electric range of 102 kilometers. Additionally, the 07 supports 3.3 kilowatts of external discharge. However, it’s worth noting that DC fast charging is notably absent. The car is equipped with an 18.99 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery sourced from CALB.

The Lynk & Co 07 EM-P represents a significant step forward for the brand, blending performance, luxury, and sustainability into one captivating package. While its current availability may be limited, one can’t help but anticipate its potential global expansion, promising a thrilling future for Lynk & Co enthusiasts worldwide.
