Mazda 6 is back, now as an electric car, ready to take on competitors like the VW ID.7, Tesla Model 3, and Polestar 2 and called Mazda 6e.

Designed First for the Chinese Market

The Mazda 6e is the European version of the Chinese EZ-6 and builds on Mazda’s Kodo design philosophy. This sleek and elegant sedan features a liftback tailgate for easy trunk access and improved everyday practicality. Frameless door glass and integrated door handles enhance its aerodynamics, while an electric rear spoiler complements its dynamic look.

The cabin is spacious, offering generous legroom for both front and rear passengers. A panoramic sunroof provides a bright and open atmosphere, and high-quality materials ensure a calm and luxurious driving experience. The dashboard and center console have a lightweight, floating design that accentuates the interior’s spaciousness.

Mazda offers the 6e in two trim levels:

  • Takumi: Features beige or black synthetic leather upholstery.
  • Takumi Plus: Includes brown Nappa leather, suede details, and an electronically controlled sunshade for the panoramic roof.

Standard equipment includes a 14.6-inch touchscreen and a 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster. The 6e also offers an optional augmented reality head-up display and a SonyPRO® sound system with 14 speakers.

Range Up to 553 km

Mazda provides two battery options for the 6e:

  • 68.8 kWh battery: Offers a range of up to 479 km (WLTP) and supports 10-80% charging in just 22 minutes with a 200 kW fast charger.
  • 80 kWh battery: Extends the range to 553 km but requires 45 minutes for a 10-80% charge.

Performance depends on the battery configuration:

  • 68.8 kWh: Delivers 258 hp, 320 Nm of torque, and accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 7.6 seconds.
  • 80 kWh: Provides 245 hp and achieves 0-100 km/h in 7.8 seconds.

Arriving in Scandinavia by Summer 2025

Pricing for the Mazda 6e has not yet been revealed. The car is expected to arrive in Danish and Scandinavian dealerships by summer 2025, with a broader European release planned for the second half of the year.
