Often over 1,000 hp, often electric: The most powerful cars in the world in 2025 are increasingly electrified and far more performant than in the past.
Blisteringly fast, they also deliver mind-blowing acceleration. Let’s discover the 10 beasts of 2025, keeping in mind that the fastest car in the world today is neither Italian, German, nor American.

Designed for the track, it features massive aerodynamic appendages for maximum downforce.
Bugatti Tourbillon – 445 km/h
Bugatti’s first hybrid, it features a naturally aspirated 8.3-liter V16 producing 1,000 hp, supplemented by three electric motors for a total of 1,800 hp.

Bugatti W16 Mistral – 454 km/h
The fastest roadster in history, it is the last Bugatti to feature the legendary 8.0-liter quad-turbo W16, producing 1,600 hp.

Its record was set at Ehra-Lessien.

Bugatti Chiron Super Sport 300+ – 490.4 km/h
In 2019, it became the first car to surpass 300 mph, thanks to its 8.0-liter quad-turbo W16 with 1,600 hp and a more aerodynamic body.

The French-Italian hypercar is the second most powerful and fastest car in the world.
Koenigsegg Jesko Absolut – 531 km/h (claimed)
The most powerful of them all comes from Sweden: the astonishing Koenigsegg Jesko Absolut.
Equipped with a 5.0-liter twin-turbo V8 producing 1,625 hp, it is designed for absolute top speed. However, it has yet to set an official road record due to the lack of suitable tires and a sufficiently long test track. Koenigsegg plans to test it soon.
