The Kia EV6, the electric crossover first launched in 2021, is making headlines again at the 2024 Paris Motor Show, thanks to a comprehensive facelift that not only enhances its looks but also upgrades its technology and powertrain.

The updated car, one of best sellers in Scandinavian markets, will be available in 2025.

A design even more futuristic

Three years after its debut, the EV6 has been refreshed with a more aggressive design, borrowing elements from Kia’s larger SUV, the EV9. The most noticeable changes are at the front, where sharper lines and a bold redesign give the car a striking, modern appearance.

The headlights, now connected by a sleek, illuminated bar, further emphasize the EV6’s futuristic look, while redesigned bumpers add to the car’s dynamic and assertive character.

New 19” and 20” alloy wheels round out the exterior updates, giving the EV6 a more robust and athletic stance.

Subtle Changes at the Rear, Technology-Forward Interior

At the rear, changes are more subtle, retaining much of the previous model’s established lines. However, the interior receives significant upgrades. A new three-spoke steering wheel adds a sportier touch, while the dashboard now features two updated screens for infotainment and instrument display.

The infotainment system, now standard, supports both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, offering seamless integration with mobile devices.

Advanced technology and enhanced comfort

The facelifted Kia EV6 goes beyond cosmetic updates, introducing a host of advanced onboard technologies. One of the standout features is a fingerprint authentication system, allowing the driver to securely access the vehicle and activate personalized settings quickly. Additionally, a new 12-inch head-up display projects essential driving information directly onto the windshield, helping drivers stay focused on the road.

Another innovative addition is the digital rearview mirrors, replacing traditional side mirrors with high-definition screens, providing clearer, wider views. Kia has also refined smaller details, with the exterior trim now finished in a matte texture for a more elegant look, as opposed to the glossy black found on previous models.
