After three and a half years since the debut of its third generation, which has amassed over 350,000 sales in Europe, the Nissan Qashqai 2024 is evolving, bolstering the elements that have solidified its success. Let’s delve into all the new features.
Nissan Qashqai 2024: updated exterior design
The Qashqai unveils a more contemporary exterior aesthetic, characterized by sharp lines and a completely revamped front end for a stronger visual impact.
The new front grille, inspired by traditional samurai armor, is composed of numerous three-dimensional elements in glossy black, with satin chrome details under the headlights. These contrasts merge into a modern style that reinterprets Nissan’s characteristic V-Motion grille. The combination of painted elements such as the body and glossy black finishes further accentuates the distinctive character of the front end.
The front lights, with a sharp design, are enhanced with powerful lighting modules and daytime running lights composed of five small lenses that reflect the grille design. For the first time, the turn signal incorporates sequential lights depending on the trim, with a new addition: the illuminated “Nissan” logo on the outer edges. The rear lights retain their original shape but are updated with transparent lenses and a new internal light arrangement, offering a “super red” hue available with the N-Design trim, adding a touch of precision and modernity. The boomerang profile framing the taillight now also integrates the turn signal.
In range-topping versions, glossy black finishes also adorn the door moldings and wheel arches, while the new 19″ and 20″ alloy wheels emphasize the vehicle’s sporty appearance. The N-Connecta version includes new 18″ wheels with a diamond-cut finish.
Three new exterior colors are introduced: Pearl White, with brilliant reflections, Pearl Black, deeper than the previous black, and Deep Ocean, a dark blue that shifts towards aquamarine depending on lighting conditions. The five color options, also available in two-tone with a black roof, offer a distinctive aesthetic.
Renewed interiors and finishes
For range-topping versions, the interiors are enhanced by Alcantara inserts on the dashboard, armrests, top of the center console, and knee pads, along with decorative patterns near the gear shift and new upholstery for quilted leather and eco-leather seats.
The N-Design trim boasts quilted black leather seats with Alcantara inserts and the embossed “Qashqai” inscription on the headrests.
A new ambient lighting is now available starting from the N-Connecta version, with adjustable LED intensity and color from the central infotainment screen.
New N-Design Trim
The Qashqai lineup is enriched with the N-Design trim, which features door moldings and wheel arches painted like the body and new 20″ alloy wheels, thus enhancing the vehicle’s road presence.
Technological Updates
Technological innovation continues to be a cornerstone for Nissan, with new implementations making Qashqai driving safer and more intuitive.
The Around View Monitor is enhanced with 3D functionality for a more detailed view of any obstacles, making maneuvers simpler and safer. The camera system provides a complete 360° view and can now store frequent parking points, facilitating maneuvers in tight spaces.
Driving assistance features have been updated for greater responsiveness and control, including improved emergency braking and lane-keeping warning systems.
The new Qashqai also integrates the Google suite, facilitating digital interaction and offering services such as Google Maps and voice commands through “Hey Google”, for a more focused and safer driving experience.
Connectivity and Services
The infotainment system is now enriched with Google Play, allowing access to applications, music, podcasts, and audiobooks directly from the car. Nissan Connected Services include vehicle safety reminders and theft monitoring.
Furthermore, compatibility with Alexa allows interaction with the smart home system directly from the cabin, controlling home devices, listening to news, or managing weather forecasts.
e-POWER: Electrified Propulsion
e-POWER, Nissan’s electrified propulsion system, stands out in the automotive sector for its unique design and the success it has achieved in Europe since 2022. This innovative technology combines an electric motor, responsible for traction, with an internal combustion engine dedicated to generating electricity, avoiding direct transmission of thermal power to the wheels.
This configuration offers a driving experience comparable to that of a pure electric vehicle, characterized by immediate and smooth acceleration, without the need for external electric charges; refueling is simply done with gasoline.
e-POWER represents the optimal electrified choice, an alternative to diesel engines and a significant step towards fully electric mobility. The system is also known for its minimal acoustic emissions and reduced vibrations, ensuring exceptional comfort and a quiet ride.
