The most efficient version of the Swedish SUV has officially arrived: the Polestar 3 Single Motor Long Range. Building on the success of the Polestar 2 Long Range Single Motor, this new SUV offers rear-wheel drive for performance-oriented driving while enhancing efficiency and range.
The Polestar 3 Single Motor Long Range promises up to 650 km on the WLTP cycle thanks to its 111 kWh battery.
The performance of Polestar 3 Single Motor
The Polestar 3 Single Motor stands as the entry-level model in the lineup, yet it lacks nothing in terms of performance and features. Built in both China and the USA (with European markets likely receiving the American version due to tariffs), it utilizes the same 111 kWh battery pack as the Dual Motor version.
This allows for the same 250 kW peak charging capacity, enabling a 10-80% charge in just 30 minutes on DC, while offering a greater range of up to 650 km.
As a brand known for performance, the Polestar 3 Single Motor retains all the distinctive features that make the Long Range Dual Motor versions engaging to drive. Ride comfort and control are ensured by a sophisticated passive damper system, which employs Hydraulic Rebound Stops (HRS) and Frequency Selective Damping (FSD) to enhance the dynamic character of the vehicle.
The rear motor, which contributes to both fun and safe driving, delivers 220 kW (299 hp) and 490 Nm of torque, enabling the Polestar 3 Single Motor to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.8 seconds. It also features the same powerful Brembo braking system as the rest of the Polestar 3 range.
Moreover, the Polestar 3 Single Motor offers increased customization thanks to its single-option and pack structure. Buyers can choose from six exterior colors, five interior settings, and four wheel options, including a new 21-inch alloy wheel design available as part of the new Pro Pack.
Like the rest of the MY25 lineup, the Polestar 3 Single Motor can be equipped with the Pilot Pack featuring LiDAR from Luminar. This optional package provides even greater levels of safety and convenience, should customers opt for it.
