Like the Megane, the 2025 Renault Scenic E-Tech also receives a significant update that introduces new features aimed at simplifying daily use and improving the car’s drivability.

Specifically, it gets the much-anticipated One-Pedal Drive, which will be implemented across all Renault electric models, including the R5. The update also includes the Plug&Charge system, new interior styling touches, and a software upgrade for OpenR Link.

What’s new on the 2025 Renault Scenic E-Tech

Developed by Ampere, the new Scenic integrates a range of smart features that make every journey easier and more enjoyable. As mentioned, the Scenic E-Tech now comes with One-Pedal Drive, available on versions with adjustable regenerative braking via steering wheel paddles. This feature allows acceleration and deceleration using only one pedal, reducing stress during urban driving and optimizing energy recovery.

This function is also available via retrofit, meaning it can be added even by those who have already purchased the vehicle.

Additionally, the Scenic now comes standard with an 11 kW bidirectional AC charger, allowing charging management from 3 to 11 kW. For those seeking even faster charging, an optional 22 kW charger will arrive by summer 2025 — ideal for quicker top-ups at public charging stations.

Furthermore, Scenic now includes the Plug&Charge service, making it one of the few electric cars to offer it. Integrated into the Mobilize Charge Pass, it allows you to plug the car into a compatible DC charging station (like Ionity or Free To X on highways) and automatically start charging — no app or card required.

With FaceID

A new infotainment feature is FaceID, integrated into the A-pillar. It recognizes the driver, activates their user profile, and automatically adjusts the radio, seat, mirrors, and preferred apps.

The system, which is entirely offline and secure, stores data in the vehicle and also offers fatigue monitoring thanks to integration with the Take a Break! app.

The OpenR Link system, based on Android Automotive and featuring the full native Google Suite, also receives an update. It is now better integrated with the MyRenault app and includes features such as:

  • Sending routes from smartphone to car;

  • Real-time itinerary modification with automatic rerouting;

  • Viewing the destination building directly on Maps.

Customers receive personalized notifications, can check the car’s status in real-time, schedule maintenance, and even predict component wear — all through the My Renault app.
