Unveiled in the United States in the fall of 2024, the Tesla Cybercab is now making its way across Europe for exhibition purposes. We had the chance to see it at the Tesla Center in Køge, a town just a few kilometers south of Copenhagen, Denmark.

An autonomous, two-seater vehicle designed for passenger transport as a taxi service, Elon Musk has stated that the Cybercab will hit both American and European roads before 2027.

The service will offer short or daily rides at an operating cost of approximately $0.20 (€0.15) per kilometer.

Additionally, the Cybercab will be available for purchase at a price yet to be determined, but estimates suggest it will cost less than €30,000.

Design and Features of the Tesla Cybercab

The Tesla Cybercab was first introduced on October 10 during the “We, Robot” event in Los Angeles, alongside the Robovan and the humanoid robot Optimus.

This fully autonomous robotaxi has been designed to provide “a premium and personalized electric mobility experience for everyone,” according to Tesla.

Its design is highly aerodynamic, resembling the massive Cybertruck, with a futuristic shape and a slim LED strip on its sharp front end. At the rear, there is no rear windshield due to the vehicle’s autonomous nature, while the taillight cluster features a three-dimensional effect, which has also been incorporated into the new Model Y.

The doors are large and open vertically, while the interior is the epitome of minimalism. The two seats are positioned far back, allowing for generous legroom. In the center, a large touchscreen display is designed for multimedia use, along with compartments for smartphones equipped with wireless charging.

Furthermore, Tesla plans to establish dedicated stations for vehicle cleaning and sanitation after each ride.
