The automotive industry, particularly in China, is constantly evolving, and the Lynk & Co 900 is proof of this, positioning itself as the most advanced plug-in hybrid currently available.

This is the first mass-produced vehicle equipped with the Nvidia Drive Thor chip, a processor capable of 1,000 TOPS (Trillion Operations Per Second), four times more powerful than the widely used Nvidia Orin. The Lynk & Co 900 will debut in the Chinese market in the second quarter of this year, positioning itself as the brand’s flagship model. For now, there are no plans for a European release, but we do know that in 2025, the European version of the Lynk & Co 08 will arrive, possibly renamed Lynk & Co 03 for the European market.

The car of the new era

The Lynk & Co 900 will be the first vehicle to integrate the Nvidia Drive Thor system, a centralized platform combining advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) and an AI-powered cockpit. With a computing power of 1,000 TOPS, the Thor chip enables significantly faster data processing than its predecessor, the Orin (254 TOPS).

The vehicle will feature the Haohan driver assistance system, developed by Zeekr. As we know, Volvo recently sold all its shares in Lynk & Co to Zeekr, which, together with Lynk & Co, has formed the Zeekr Group.

A key feature of this technology is the Navigation Zeekr Pilot (NZP), an advanced autonomous navigation system that does not rely on HD maps. This means the vehicle can operate anywhere in China, detecting traffic congestion and planning the best route. Additionally, the NZP system can recognize obstacles and autonomously adjust speed and steering, positioning itself as a direct competitor to Huawei’s Qiankun assisted driving system.

The Lynk & Co 900 is a large SUV: 5.2 meters long, 1.99 meters wide, and 1.8 meters tall, with a record wheelbase of 3.1 meters, a figure shared only with the Hyundai Ioniq 9. It features a high hood, retractable door handles, a floating roof, and a rectangular air intake on the front bumper. A distinctive detail is the “Tech Totem” elements on the front doors, which integrate sensors and cameras. Additionally, the front end has an interactive display capable of projecting images and text.

6K Cabin Experience

The Lynk & Co 900’s interior boasts a futuristic design, featuring two 30-inch 6K screens: one positioned on the central console and the other mounted on the ceiling for rear passengers. The digital instrument cluster measures 12.66 inches.

Among its most interesting features are 180-degree rotating second-row seats, a retractable refrigerator, adjustable third-row seats, and a trunk with a load capacity of up to 300 kg.

845 HP of power

The Lynk & Co 900 will be available in three plug-in hybrid variants, all featuring all-wheel drive:

  • 1.5L turbo + electric motors: 160 kW front + 230 kW rear, combined power of 530 kW (711 HP)
  • 2.0L turbo + electric motors: 123 kW front + 230 kW rear, combined power of 540 kW (724 HP)
  • 2.0L turbo + electric motors: 123 kW front + two 160 kW rear motors, total power of 630 kW (845 HP)

The available NMC batteries are 43.3 kWh and 50 kWh. The 1.5L engine variant uses the smaller battery, providing 185 km of electric range (CLTC cycle). The 2.0L versions use the 50 kWh battery, with an electric range of up to 220 km.
